What is your favorite subject to teach?
Language Arts.
What made you want to become a teacher?
It just so happened that someone knew what I was meant to do.  I got into this profession by accident and I will stay in this profession because I love what I do.
How long have you been teaching?
Going on 8 years (07-08).
Have you always wanted to be a teacher?
No, my Bachelor of Science degree is in Range Management.
Where did you grow up?
Colorado City, Texas (not Colorado).
Are you married?  If so to whom?
Yes, Rodney Smith.
What college did you graduate from?
Texas Tech University and Wayland Baptist University.
Do you have any children?  If so, what are their names?
Yes, Kayti, 13, and Kade, 11.
What are your parent(s) names?
The Late Rob Holman and my mom, Karen.
What subjects and grades do you teach?
Content Mastery - 6th - 8th grade.

I've always liked working with kids.

This is my 2nd year (07-08) to work as a TA in Olton, but I've substituted since my grown-up kids were little.

Nope.
Where did you grow up?
I grew up mostly in small town west TX, but graduated from HS in Port Arthur down on the coast.

Yes, to David Miller.
Do you have any children?  If so, what are their names?
Yes, Erin, Heidi, and Shay--all 3 are young adults

Work with JH Special Ed kids.

Here in Olton.  I have lived here in Olton all of my life.
Are you married?  If so to whom?
I am married to Joe Carrasco who also grew up here in Olton.
Do you have any children?  If so, what are their names?
I have 2 boys.  Dallas, 5th grade, and Jacob, 1st grade.
What are your parent(s) names?
My mother is Delia Ruiz and my late father was Guadalupe Ruiz, Jr.
