What grade and subject do you teach?  Reading Interventionist

 

Tell us about your family - I married my college sweetheart, Michael, and we have been married for 15 years.  We have three wonderful children:  Zachary: 10, Bryson: 8, and Analise: 3.  I am very blessed! 

 

Where were you born and where did you grow up? I was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa and moved to Amarillo when I was in 1st grade.  I grew up in Amarillo and graduated from Tascosa High School.  Go Rebels!

 

Where did you attend college?  McMurry University in Abilene. 

 

How long have you been teaching?  I am in my 16th year of teaching.

How long have you been teaching in Olton?  This is my 7th year.

Have you always been a teacher, if not what did you do before teaching?

I have never wanted to be anything else!  I graduated with the exact number of hours to become a certified teacher.  It is a true passion and ministry for me!

What are your hobbies?  I love to work in my yard, cook, and spend time with my family.

 

What is your favorite way to relax?   Taking a hot bath when my kids are in bed is a great way to unwind after a busy day.
