What grade and subject do you teach?  Reading Interventionist

 

Tell us about your family - I married my college sweetheart, Michael, and we have been married for 16 years.  We have three wonderful children:  Zachary: 11, Bryson: 9, and Analise: 4.  I am very blessed! 

 

Where were you born and where did you grow up? I was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa and moved to Amarillo when I was in 1st grade.  I grew up in Amarillo and graduated from Tascosa High School.  Go Rebels!

 

Where did you attend college?  McMurry University in Abilene. 

 

How long have you been teaching?  I am in my 17th year of teaching.

How long have you been teaching in Olton?  This is my 8th year.

Have you always been a teacher, if not what did you do before teaching?

I have never wanted to be anything else!  I graduated with the exact number of hours to become a certified teacher.  It is a true passion and ministry for me!

What are your hobbies?  I love to work in my yard, cook, bake, and spend time with my family. Our family also enjoys cheering on our Texas Rangers!

 

What is your favorite way to relax?   If I am not busy in my kitchen or out in the yard, you can find me reading when the kids go to bed.
