What grade and subject do you teach? K-5 Resource/Inclusion/Dyslexia

Family - I am married to Greg and have two children, Christopher and Shara. Christopher is 23 years old and lives in Lubbock. He works at the Lubbock Country Club. Shara, 22 years old, is married to Riley and has a daughter named Harli. My grand-daughter, Harli, lights up my life every day. They live 12 miles from Olton on a farm, so I get to see Harli often.

Where were you born and where did you grow up? I was born in Lamesa, TX, but moved to Bovina, TX when I was 6 months old. When I was ten years old we moved to Pagosa Springs, CO. I graduated from Pagosa Springs High School in 1976.

Where did you attend college? I have a Bachelor’s degree from Wayland Baptist University and a Master’s degree from Texas Tech University.

How long have you been teaching? This will be my 29th year to teach in all. I have taught at Cotton Center ISD, Shallowater ISD, Lewisville ISD, as well as, Olton ISD.

How long have you been teaching in Olton? This is my 19th year to teach at Olton ISD. However, this is my 29th year to teach in all. I will retire after this year.

Have you always been a teacher, if not what did you do before teaching? I have always been a teacher and would not want to do anything else, except play with my grand-daughter.

What are your hobbies? My favorite hobby is playing with Harli. I also like to play golf, read my Bible, and watch TV.

What is your favorite way to relax? I like to go to the mountains in New Mexico or Colorado to relax.
