Tell us about your family -  My son, Danny, is a nurse adminisrator and lives in Houston.  My oldest daughter, Tracy, teaches English at Plainview High School and has two kids, Jaxton four years old and Savannah nineteen months. My second daughter, Marsha, lives in Canyon and teaches Science in the middle school. Autumn is her seven year old daughter.  The in-laws are great too.  My husband, Ronnie, have been married almost thiry-eight years. He has worked thirty two years at American Cotton Growers.

 

Where were you born and where did you grow up? I was born in Plainview and grew up between Hart and Olton.

 

Where did you attend college?  Many:  South Plains, Texas Tech, West Texas, Amarillo College, and finally graduated
from Wayland Baptist University.

 

How long have you been teaching?   5 years

 

How long have you been teaching in Olton?  I have been in the district 15 years.

 

Have you always been a teacher, if not what did you do before teaching? I worked at Pay N Save Grocery Store, Don's Grocery Store, and Olton State Bank.  Before OltonIsd, I baby-sat children in my home.
 

What are your hobbies?  Gardening, traveling, and spending time with grandkids
