Tell us about your family -I have 3 children. LuBecca Long is a 1998 graduate of Olton High School and is a hairstylist at Eclips Hair Design in College Station. Lacy is a 2002 graduate of Olton High School and a 2006 graduate of Texas A&M University. She and her husband Jamie Edelen live in Colorado Springs, Colorado where he is a 1st Lieutenant in the Air Force. Jamie is a junior at Olton High School and she is 16 years old.

Where were you born and where did you grow up? I was born and raised in Houston, Texas.

Where did you attend college? Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas

How long have you been teaching? 34 years

How long have you been teaching in Olton? 34 years

Have you always been a teacher, if not what did you do before teaching? Yes. I worked as a secretary in college and loved it.

What are your hobbies? Horseback riding, reading, playing the piano, singing, watching as many movies as I can.

What is your favorite way to relax? Watching a movie, watching television or reading a book.

Is there anything else you would like to tell us about yourself - I am half Italian. My dad was born in Filerno, Italy and came over to the states when he was 7 years old. I play the organ at church and enjoy attending anything that my kids are involved in.
