What grade and subject do you teach?  Kinder - 5th Computer Technology

Tell us about your family - I am married to Doug Giles. Between us we have four children. My daughter, Teresa is a PE teacher at Canyon ISD. Her husband, Jerry, is a 14 year veteran of the Amarillo Police Dept. I have 2 grandkids with them. Matthew is a Junior at Amarillo High School in Amarillo and Ashley is in the 5th grade at Westover Middle School in Amarillo. My son, Bobby lives in San Antonio with his wife Shana. Bobby is a Supervisor for Toyota and Shana is a Loan Officer. I have three grandkids with them, Kelsey is in the 7th grade, Zachary is in the 4rd grade and last but not least, Ty is 4 years old. Then Doug has two daughters, Tiffany and Tandy. Tiffany was just recently married to Clay Morphis and is the manager at Chili's in Plainview. Tandy is married to Blake Lane and is enjoying being a farmers wife. Tandy and Blake are expecting their first child in February 2010

Where were you born and where did you grow up? I was born in Amarillo, Tx. I lived in Amarillo until the end of my 7th grade. We then moved to Tulia. I lived there until I married.

Where did you attend college?  I went to Wayland Baptist University (College then!)

How long have you been teaching?  I have been a TA since Sept. 2005.

How long have you been teaching in Olton?  This is starting my 5th year.

Have you always been a teacher, if not what did you do before teaching? No, I haven't always taught. I managed Radio Shack in Plainview for 15 years. I then bought D and E Travel Center in Plainview. After I sold the travel center I didn't work for a few years. I then bought Olton Flower Shop. After I sold the flower shop I started a Mother's Day Out program. I did that until I got my job teaching computers here.

What are your hobbies?  Cross Stitching, Old movies, game shows, gardening and the hobby that is the most fun is my Grandkids. They are the love of my life!

What is your favorite way to relax?  Listening to Christian music, cross stitching, or a good "Chick Flick"
